Programs by Charles Nutting

Sometimes you need a tool or some sort of program to help to do a task. Below you will find a few of the tools I use to make my life a little easier. I wrote them a few years ago in Visual Basic and just recently converted the to C#.

They are free to use and share, and I hope they can help you as they have helped me.

Movieman 2 Movie Database

Movieman 2 Movie Database

Keep track of all your movies in one database. Use the advanced filtering by genre to find a movie, sort by year or name, or view all your movies in the simple reporting tool. The program also allows you to attach a movie poster from IMDB.com.

MS Access 32 bit Driver - Required to run application

Remote Websites Monitor

Remote Website Monitor

Check to see if your websites are still up from one monitoring application. This application sits in the system tray, and will alert you if one of your websites are down or not responding.

Microsoft Word HTML Export File Cleaner

Microsoft Word HTML Cleaner

Used to remove all the styles Word inserts into the HTML export file, and leaves just the HTML you need.

This tool will clean a single file, or a folder of files.

Secured Configuration Tool

Secured Configuration Tool

This is a tool for encrypting or decrypting configuration files on your machine/server. It only works with .exe files, and you cannot move the program to another machine. The reason for this is the encryption uses the keys on your system.

I use this to encrypt my local processes configuration file to keep others from seeing any usernames, passwords, or database connection strings.

Welcome to charlesnutting.net

I'm going to be up front here about charlesnutting.net, this site is in no way connected to me selling a book I wrote, plastering the pages with ads to click on, or in no way making me any money.

The whole purpose of this site is to show people things I love to do, display my photography skills (or lack of), and experiment with new web technologies.

It’s also a place for me to jump on my soapbox and rant about the way the programming world is changing. In my Blog there are programming tips on coding JavaScript, and soon other langauges.

Enjoy!
